State of the Church (+-)

What is the state of the church when issues of doctrine get in the way of our true meaning of saving the lost and LOVING those who need love. Alot of "church folk" seem to mis interperate that word "LOVING" for a completely different word; "JUDGING". I only have one question, why? Why do we think that telling someone that what there doing is wrong before we show them the love that is needed to change this persons life is the right way to go about things. Im just as guilty as the next person in line. I struggle with judging people all the time. Jesus lived in a way that drew people to Him. His loved reflected something that people needed and after that love was given people listened. Im writing this as kind of a discussion type or at least though provoking type blog. Why do you think we continually judge before we love and what can we do to remedy that thinking? We know the sunday school answer but what can you do, practically to change your own thinking?

Certainly judging/loving can be out of balance in the church. Jesus "judged" the Pharisees because of their self-righteousness and forgave the prostitute. When is it proper for the church to quote John the Baptist and call people a "brood of vipers" and when is it appropriate to say "your sins are forgiven"? Did Jesus show specific acts of love to the Pharisees before he called them "white washed walls"? When is it more loving to tell a person that they're hurting themself and when is it more loving to let them do as they will and let them know you are available to them if they need you?

To be honest, I don't know the answer to these questions, but I don't think either end of the spectrum of never pointing out people's sin nor continually doing so is loving. Perhaps there is a way to do so with love.
